Kindergarten - 4th Grade
We partner with parents to help children learn how to love God, love people, and live a faithful life with Jesus Christ. There are volunteers at the welcome desk every Sunday to get your children signed in and plugged in to the appropriate group.
5th & 6th Grade
They're not quite children anymore. That's why we have dynamic, engaging, silly, and serious programs for preteens! Students in grades 5 and 6 meet every week for Sunday School and also gather on Wednesday night for a semester-based program.

SAFE & SECURE ENVIRONMENT
Walnut Ridge Baptist Church strives to provide a safe and secure environment for the minors who participate in our programs and activities, whether at authorized off-campus events or at church property. By following these practices, our goal is to protect the children and students of Walnut Ridge Baptist Church from incidents of misconduct or inappropriate behavior, while providing excellence in ministry to families. We intend for our church to be the safest place in town. All volunteers who come in contact with minors are screened and trained: (1) Submit to background check every two years; (2) Attend child safety training; (3) Take child safety test upon completion of training. These training materials are available upon request.

Kids explore God’s Word and grow closer to God and others. They are placed in a small group with friends their same age and grade. Quality volunteer teachers lead the class using Bible study, video, music, activities, and application.

Preteens learn about God’s Word and grow closer to God and others. Students gather with awesome volunteer adult leaders and tackle Bible study with teaching, discussion, videos, and interactive activities.

WRKids offers a semester-based program for children and preteens. This school year, we are walking through a new curriculum, TeamKID, which is designed for Kids in Discipleship! It features Bible memory games and application of Bible truths, engaging missions videos and activities, and fun activity-based learning all while helping your kids grow to be more like Jesus.

This is a fun and interactive experience designed for the whole family! We’re going to build a gingerbread nativity while celebrating the birth of Jesus. More than that, you’ll hear the Christmas story from the Bible, sing songs, play games, and discover the good news of Jesus through candy canes. It’s a truly sweet way for your family to celebrate the birth of Jesus! Cost is $10 per family. 

SuperStart is a city-wide high-energy, intentionally crafted weekend event for preteens to hear the gospel, learn Biblical truths, and be called to a life of Kingdom Work. Preteens will gather for dinner on Friday night at Walnut Ridge before heading to a night of fun at SuperStart at Crossroads. We will return to the church building for the night and head back to SuperStart on Saturday morning.

Join us at Riverbend, an unforgettable overnight camp designed for students who have completed 3rd through 6th grade. Your kids will have a blast with a variety of activities, including pool time, jumping on the blob, water volleyball, basketball, jungle climbing, zip-lining, archery, and more. Beyond the excitement, they will also have the opportunity to strengthen their relationship with God.
