Core Beliefs
IN ESSENTIAL BELIEFS…WE HAVE UNITY.
There is one body and one Spirit- just as you were called to one hope when you were called—one Lord, one faith, one baptism; one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all.—Ephesians 4:4-6
IN NON-ESSENTIAL BELIEFS…WE HAVE LIBERTY.
Accept him whose faith is weak, without passing judgment on disputable matters.… Who are you to judge someone else's servant? To his own master he stands or falls. And he will stand, for the Lord is able to make him stand.… So then, each of us will give an account of himself to God.… So whatever you believe about these things keep between yourself and God. Blessed is the man who does not condemn himself by what he approves.—Romans 14:1, 4, 12, 22
IN ALL BELIEFS…WE SHOW LOVE.
If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but have not love, I am nothing.—1 Corinthians 13:2

THE SCRIPTURES
The Bible is God's message to all people. Human authors wrote the Bible while under the supernatural guidance of the Holy Spirit. It is absolute truth for all people in all cultures. Because God has inspired it, it is truth without any mixture of error.
GOD
God is the Creator and Ruler of the universe. He has eternally existed in three persons: the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. These three are co-equal and are one God.
GOD THE FATHER
God as Father reigns with providential care over His universe, His creatures, and the flow of the stream of human history according to the purposes of His grace. God is Father in truth to those who become children of God through faith in Jesus Christ.
GOD THE SON
Jesus Christ is the Son of God. He is co-equal with the Father. Jesus lived a sinless human life and offered Himself as the perfect sacrifice for the sins of all people by dying on a cross. He rose from the dead after three days to demonstrate His power over sin and death. He ascended to Heaven's glory and will return again to earth to reign as King of Kings, and Lord of Lords.
GOD THE HOLY SPIRIT
The Holy Spirit is equal with the Father and the Son as God. He is present in the world to make people aware of their need for Jesus Christ. He also lives in every Christian from the moment of salvation. He provides the Christian with power for living, understanding of spiritual truth, and guidance in doing what is right. The Christian seeks to live under His control daily.
HUMANITY
People are made in the spiritual image of God, to be like Him in character. They are the supreme object of God's creation. Although people have tremendous potential for good, they are marred by an attitude of disobedience toward God called sin. This attitude separates people from God.
SALVATION
Salvation is a gift from God to people. People can never make up for their sin by self-improvement or good works. Only by trusting in Jesus Christ as God's offer of forgiveness can people be saved from sin's penalty. Eternal life begins the moment one receives Jesus Christ into his or her life by faith.
SECURITY OF A BELIEVER
Because God gives people eternal life through Jesus Christ, the believer is secure in salvation for eternity. Salvation is maintained by the grace and power of God, not by the self-effort of the Christian. It is the grace and keeping power of God that gives this security.
THE CHURCH
A New Testament church of the Lord Jesus Christ is an autonomous local congregation of baptized believers, associated by covenant in the faith and fellowship of the gospel, observing the two ordinances of Christ, governed by His laws, exercising the gifts, rights, and privileges invested in them by His Word, and seeking to extend the gospel to the ends of the earth. Each congregation operates under the Lordship of Christ through democratic processes. In such a congregation each member is responsible and accountable to Christ as Lord. Its scriptural officers are pastors and deacons. While both men and women are gifted for service in the church, the office of pastor is limited to men as qualified by Scripture.
BAPTISM & THE LORD'S SUPPER
Christian baptism is the immersion of a believer in water. It is an act of obedience symbolizing the believer's faith in a crucified, buried, and risen Savior, the believer's death to sin, the burial of the old life, and the resurrection to walk in new life with Christ Jesus. The Lord's Supper is a symbolic act of obedience in which followers of Christ remember the death of the Redeemer and anticipate His second coming.
EVANGELISM & MISSIONS
It is the duty and privilege of every follower of Christ and every church of the Lord Jesus Christ to endeavor to make disciples of all nations... to seek constantly to win the lost to Christ by verbal witness undergirded by a Christian lifestyle, and by other methods in harmony with the gospel of Christ.
THE LORD'S DAY
The first day of the week is the Lord's Day. …It commemorates the resurrection of Christ from the dead and should be employed in exercises of worship and spiritual devotion.
END TIMES
God, in His own time and in His own way, will bring the world to its appropriate end. Jesus Christ will return personally and visibly. The dead will be raised and Christ will judge all people in righteousness. Although Scripture does not spell out the details and timeline of End Times, it clearly communicates that God is the author of everything that will lead to His ultimate eternal plan.
LIFE AFTER DEATH
People were created to exist forever. They will either exist eternally separated from God by sin, or in union with God through forgiveness and salvation. To be eternally separated from God is Hell. To be eternally in union with Him is eternal life. Heaven and Hell are real places of eternal existence.
