MISSIONS AT THE RIDGE
Walnut Ridge Baptist Church is a mission minded church. We desire to be actively engaged in living out the Great Commission (Matthew 28:19-20) and the greatest commandments (Matthew 22:37-39) in our community and world. We endeavor to demonstrate our love for the Father in how we love others. Loving all others is a trait of a true believer of Christ. We try to see others through Jesus’ eyes and genuinely show compassion to them regardless of their circumstance or status in society.

Go therefore and make disciples of all nations

Matthew 28:19

Mansfield Mission Center, founded as Wesley Mission Center in 1979 and operating independently since 2013, serves thousands annually with 20 employees and numerous volunteers. Supported by diverse funding sources, they partner with YMCA Arlington-Mansfield to expand holistic health resources and continuously grow their programs and facilities to meet community needs, guided by their mission to empower individuals and demonstrate Christ's love, vision for a flourishing community, and values of integrity, collaboration, and compassion.
Passionate about helping people, HIM Center is more than just a food bank. In 2022, we served 215,000 people with 10 million pounds of food, thanks to partnerships with Frito-Lay, Wal-Mart, and others. Our reach extends to 100+ churches and nonprofits in North Texas. Collaborating with schools and organizations, we support backpack programs and more. During the holidays, we provided Thanksgiving meals to 2,500 families and Christmas meals/toys to 500 families. Buy a Brick Foundation

In 2004, a small group from DC visited Zimbabwe, witnessing desperate needs like poverty, starvation, and crumbling facilities. Instead of just seeing problems, they found resilient people ready for change. Buy a Brick addressed immediate needs like schools, teachers' quarters, toilets, and bathhouses. Their long-term commitment included 16 trips, distributing supplies, building structures, and empowering locals. Buy a Brick assisted in starting businesses, creating a positive environment. From taxi cab companies to chicken farms and women-run fabric supply businesses, they're fostering self-sustainability.

One of our mission partners stepped in and blessed this new Christian with a truck. Victor gave all thanks to our God. Thank you to Why Not Bless for all you do!

First Priority of America is dedicated to empowering Christian students to legally form clubs on public school campuses, allowing them to share the gospel with their peers. The organization emphasizes the importance of finding eternal hope in a relationship with Christ. Students, supported by church-approved youth workers, initiate Christian clubs under the 1984 Equal Access Act. The success of First Priority is closely tied to the local church, involving students, youth pastors, and faculty sponsors from congregations.
